  • Product introduction 

    The KNY2506E  TOC Analyzer  employs the high-temperature catalytic combustion oxidation method. The sample, along with purified gas (high-purity oxygen), is introduced into both a high-temperature combustion tube and a low-temperature reaction tube.In the high-temperature combustion tube, the sample undergoes catalytic oxidation, converting both organic carbon (OC) and inorganic carbon (IC) into carbon dioxide (CO₂).

    In the low-temperature reaction tube, the sample is acidified, causing the inorganic carbon (IC) to decompose into CO₂.

    The CO₂ produced in both reaction tubes is transported by a carrier gas and sequentially introduced into a Non-Dispersive Infrared (NDIR) gas detector for CO₂ measurement. This allows for the separate determination of:

    Total Carbon (TC) (from the high-temperature tube)

    Inorganic Carbon (IC) (from the low-temperature tube)

    The Total Organic Carbon (TOC) is then calculated as the difference between TC and IC:TOC = TC – IC

    This method ensures accurate and efficient measurement of organic carbon content in water samples.

    High-purity water: 0.5 μL per test

    Acid reagent: 2 mL (for IC testing)

    High-purity oxygen: ~2000 mL (standard conditions, flow rate 100 mL/min, 20 min purging)

    High-Accuracy NDIR CO₂ Detection – The NDIR detector provides excellent linearity and precision. CO₂ signals are converted into peak curves, and the built-in data processor calculates TOC values (TOC = TC – IC).

    Strong & Stable Oxidation Performance –

    Catalytic combustion oxidation ensures nearly complete oxidation of all organic compounds.

    680°C combustion temperature (below the melting point of most salts) extends the lifespan of catalysts and combustion tubes, crucial for analyzing salt-containing water samples.
